Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Ines Thomas Almeida grew up in Lisbon as bilingual and with double nationality. She graduated in Voice at the Rostock School of Music and Drama (Germany) and works as an opera singer, choreographer, assistant director, stage director and producer, especially in projects dealing with contemporary music. As an opera singer she is a prizewinner of the International Singing Competition Schloss Rheinsberg 2008, chosen among 450 other candidates. She held scholarships from the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation for Young Artists (2003-2008) and from the Portuguese Education Ministry (2002-2003). She is the editor of the magazine BERLINDA and works in Berlin.
